Anita Koumriqian Piper is an experienced immigration law attorney with deep knowledge of family-based immigration, employment-based immigration, and family law matters. As an immigrant to the United States, she identifies with her clients and is passionate about helping families stay together and reunite in the U.S. She helps both families as well as employers bring individuals to the US to pursue visas, green cards, or citizenship.
Anita received her law degree at the Santa Clara School of Law and earned her a Bachelor’s degree with honors from University of California, Los Angeles.
While attending Santa Clara University School of Law, Anita served as counsel in the school’s Ninth Circuit Pro Bono Program. She prepared an asylum brief for a client and argued the client’s case before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Anita is often called on to present on immigration current events and topics.She has been a panelist during several AILA (American Immigration Lawyers Association) conferences and various professional and trade organizations. Anita is fluent in Armenian and English.
