Karen is a Business Immigration Associate at Bay Immigration Law, where she counsels a range of clients on U.S. non-immigrant and immigrant matters. As a second-generation immigrant, Karen is committed to providing a smooth, stress-free immigration experience for clients.
Prior to joining Bay Immigration Law, Karen worked at top-tier immigration firms in California and Texas. She handled various non-immigrant and immigrant matters for Fortune 500 companies, including: H-1B, L-1, TN, and I-140 petitions; adjustment of status applications; and PERM processes.
During law school, Karen worked as a Student Attorney for the Judge Elmo B. Hunter Legal Center for Victims of Crimes Against Women, where she represented a survivor of domestic abuse and helped her client seek immigration relief under the Violence Against Women Act. Karen also participated in the Karnes Family Immigration Detention Center Clinic in 2018, where she traveled with a group of fellow student volunteers and a professor to Karnes Family Immigration Detention Center during spring break to provide legal support to detained immigrant women and children seeking asylum.
Karen speaks English, Nepali and Spanish.
