She began her career in the arts with a foundation in dance, which took her abroad to train, perform, and collaborate with artists from a wide range of cultural and professional backgrounds. Through these experiences,
she gained a deep appreciation for the commitment and talent required to succeed in creative fields. This understanding later shaped her work in immigration. As she shifted her focus toward writing, Maeve earned a Bachelor’s degree in English literature from California State University, Long Beach, where she developed the research and communication skills that now underpin her work in immigration.
